The Full Story

The Annual General Conference is a distinct event that creates a remarkable and unforgettable experience each year.

The legal profession has played a major role in governance and will continue to provide a valuable platform for the well-being of citizens.

The Nigerian Bar Association was established in 1960 and held its first Annual General Conference that same year. The event saw the attendance of prominent leaders of the Bar, such as the late Chief FRA Williams, QC, SAN, and Hairat Balogun, OON, among other dignitaries.

The Annual General Conference platform has provided invaluable opportunities for stakeholders, allowing legal minds to converge with other professionals for collaborative work, branding, and creativity for growth.

In 2015, we embraced global legal standards by expanding our discussions to involve various industry-specific topics, enhancing diversification across different sectors of the economy.

Another significant development within the legal frontier was the maiden virtual conference. Although the global pandemic necessitated the adoption of technology, it paved the way for its acceptance as the future of the profession. We recorded a total attendance of over twenty-two thousand (22,000) lawyers, and in 2021, we introduced the concept of an hybrid event for the Conference.
